INDUSTRIAL MOTIVATION CAMPAIGN (IMC) AT NELLORE
 ON 7th JULY, 2008

 

MSMEDI, Hyderabad organized an Industrial Motivation Campaign  at DRDA Conference Hall, Collectorate Compound, Nellore, on 7th July 2008.  The Campaign was organized in association with DIC, Nellore, DRDA, Nellore Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and AP Productivity Council.  Shri Vijay Kumar, Director, MSMEDI, Hyderabad gave a presentation on the activities of MSMEDI, Hyderabad and various schemes of MSMEDO, like Bar Coding, Incubators, Mini Tool Rooms, Intellectual Property Rights, Quality Management Systems, Cluster Development etc.  The target audience consisted of existing entrepreneurs and prospective entrepreneurs.

 

The programme received immense response from the entrepreneurs, Government and Non-Government bodies and the Press.  The programme was chaired by the Shri V. Subramaniam, President, Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Nellore.  The Guests of  Honor were Shri P. Laxmana Swamy AGM, NABARD, Shri K. Anjaneyulu, LDM, Syndicate Bank, Shri K.Murali Mohan, GM, DIC, Shri B S Siva Sankar, APSFC Branch Manager, and Shri B. Venkatnarayana, IALA Chairman.

 

 

The Chairperson, Shri V. Subramanyam, President, Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Nellore, said that the procedures to start industries has been highly simplified now.  He also mentioned that the Government has initiated many schemes for the benefit of entrepreneurs, and that the entrepreneurs had to come forward and avail the benefits.

Shri M. Murali Mohan, GM, DIC, informed  that many MNCs like Apache, Adidas, Regency Power Tek etc. have set up their manufacturing facilities in the district, thus providing employment opportunities to thousands of youth. In the next two years, and expected Rs. 42000 crores will be invested in industry in the district, which may trigger employment opportunities for 1.4 lakh youngsters.

Shri K. Anjaneyulu, LDM, Nellore, informed the house that banks across Nellore had provided loans  upto Rs. 267 Crores, and that they were encouraging more entrepreneurs. Shri T. Lakshmana Swamy, AGM, NABARD, gave details of NABARD’s schemes for encouraging entrepreneurship, like, REDP, and MEDP, Cluster Development etc.

 

Shri Siva Sankar, Branch Manager, APSFC, Nellore explained about APSFC’s schemes for MSEs and service establishments. Shri Satish, Secretary, Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Sri Chenchu Ramiah, Ex Director, AP LIDCAP spoke about the need for promoting entrepreneurship and protecting the interests of MSEs in the present scenario.

 

Shri Venkata Narayana, Chairman, IALA, spoke about the marketing problems being faces by MSEs, and opined that the Government should make all the purchases from the local MSEs only.

 

Ex trainees and successful entrepreneurs of MSMEDI, Hyderabad complimented the spirit of the MSME-DO in implementing its schemes, and the help it rendered to MSEs.

 

Shri Vijay Kumar, Director, MSMEDI, Hyderabad and Chairperson Shri V. Subramanyam distributed certificates to successful trainees of ESDPs on Fashion Designing, and Computer training on DTP.
