INDUSTRIAL MOTIVATION CAMPAIGN HELD ON 30-10-2008 AT GUNTUR
 

One day "Industrial Motivation Campaign for Self-Employment & Entrepreneurship Development" was organised on 30th October 2008 at the conference hall of Andhra Bank Institute of Rural Development, Guntur. 

 

The programme was inaugurated by Smt. Sushmita Priya, District Education Officer, Guntur.  In her inaugural address Smt. Sushmita Priya has explained that though their department is for providing employment, keeping in view of changing scenario they have taken up various steps for self employment and advised the participants to think more on self employment rather than depending on wage employment through Government. 

 

Sri Lakshminarayana, Director  Institute of Rural Development, Andhra Bank, Guntur has presided over the programme and in his presidential address he has advised the participants to take the advantages of various Government schemes to start their own enterprise.

 

Sri. A. K. Reddy Asst.Director(G&C), MSME-DI, Hyderabad has explained on various schemes and services offered by different State and Central Govt. agencies / departments for the promotion of entrepreneurship and self- employment. He has shared his vast experience of working in different states and said that the advantage in this district should be taken by the participants to start their own ventures.

 

Total 82 participants have attended the IMC with the break- up of 18 SC, 6 ST, 8 Minorities and in overall 53 women.  The programme was started at 11.00AM and went on up to 3.30 PM with formal inauguration followed by lectures delivered by various faculty from different organisations / departments. 

 

The topics covered during the programme were such as entrepreneurial motivation, need for self employment, schemes and services offered by SC,ST,BC corporation, District Industries Centre, KVIB, DRDA and also schemes exclusively operated by financial institutions.
 

 

 

 

 

 

Official representatives / Officers from Government Departments and Banks have delivered the lectures during the campaign.  An interaction with the successful women entrepreneurs was also arranged to give the motivation to the upcoming and the enthusiastic women entrepreneurs / participants.
 

 

The programme was concluded with vote of thanks by the co-ordinator of the programme Sri A.K. Reddy, Astt Director (G&C) MSME-DI, Hyderabad, who is also the Nodal Officer for Guntur District.
