Entrepreneurship & Skill Development Programme on Fashion
Designing and Dress Making was conducted from 27-05-08 to
08-2008 at Gudipali Padu, Nellore District. The
programme was inaugurated on 27th morning for which the
officers - Deputy Director from DIC, Manager from SETNAL,
Asst. Director from Andhra Pradesh Productivity Council,
Industry Promotion Officers from DIC, Project Officer from
APPC - have participated and explained the objective for
conducting this type of programmes in remote areas of the
Districts for providing self-employment for educated
unemployed youth. |

During the course of discussions in the Inaugural Programme,
Manager, SETNAL informed about the various potential schemes
for women entrepreneurs under Rajiv Yuva Shakthi Programme
sponsored by their organisations and explained the details
of various schemes available for availing the opportunities
after completion of the training programme. |
|
|
|
The
faculty members of the programme Smt. Bharathi, Kum.Nagamma
and Smt.Rajeshwari have conducted the classes on
Introduction to Sewing Machines, Types of Sewing Machines,
Practical Operations of the Machines was explained.
During the programme, the Theory was explained and
Practicals were demonstrated on items like Fabric, Fabric
Science, Sketching & Croquets, Basic Drawing & Drafting of
various kinds of Kameez & Kurta, Paper Cutting & Stitching,
Different Types of Necklines, Cutting and Pattern Making,
Drafting of Kids wear etc.
In addition theory & practicals have been conducted for
Machine Drawing, Colour Scheme, Texture Effect, Hand
Embroidery etc. |

N.T.Naidu, Dy.Director (Mech) reviewed the programme during
the training period. |

The
programme was attended by 23 exclusively women entrepreneurs
under stipendiary programme. The break up of the
candidates is as follows: Gen-5; OBC-16; SC-1; Minority-1. |

|
During the Valedictory Function, Sri Vijay Kumar, Director,
MSME-DI Hyderabad and President of Chambers of Commerce &
Industry have distributed Certificates to the successful
candidates. General Manager, DIC, LDM, Branch Manager
of APSFC, AGM NABARD, Dy.Director(Mech), Asst. Director,
AP:PC, Industry Association representatives and other
Government officials were also present. |

The
programme was coordinated and organised by Sri V.Sridhar
Reddy, Asst. Director (G&C), MSME-DI Hyderabad - Nodal
Officer of Nellore District. |
