6 Weeks ESDP on Hardware Maintenance & Networking
at Srikakulam from 11-06-2008 to 21-07-2008

Branch MSME-DI, Visakhapatnam has organised a 6 weeks ESDP on "Hardware Maintenance & Networking" from 11-06-08 to 21-07-08 at M/s.Nex-Gen Computer Center, Srikakulam.  The programme was inaugurated by Sri D.David Sunder Kumar, Deputy Director, District Industries Centre, Srikakulam.  Earlier Sri DVSR Murthy, Investigator - the Programme Co-ordinator - welcomed the gathering and briefed about the programme.  Sri Ch.Raghunadhrao, ManagingDirector, M/s.Nex-Gen, Srikakulam explained about the scope of Hardware and Software Industries.  Sri B.Vijaya Kumar, Asst. Director Incharge, Branch MSME-DI Visakhapatnam presided over the Inaugural session and delivered the role of MSME-DI, Visakhapatnam and the Inaugural Session was concluded with Vote of thanks by Sri Sivalingam, Asst. Director (G&C), Branch MSME-DI, Visakhapatnam.

During the programme, various general topics like - Entrepreneurial Qualities, Schemes of Assistances offered by MSME-DI, DIC, KVIB, procedure and formalities for availing bank loans, Accountancy, Selection of Project, Project Report Preparation etc. were covered by the respective subject experts.

In respect of skill Development on Hardware Maintenance & Networking various topics like - History and Fundamentals of Computers, Component Identification, Operating Systems, MS-DOS, Windows, Motherboard, working principles of RAM and its various types, Checking and Assembling of Computers, Installations of Software & Drivers, Various Components, Virus Scanning and Removing, Network Operating Systems, Fault Finding & Trouble Shooting - were discussed during the practical session.

A total of 23 participants including 11 Men (General), 5 Men (SC), 3 Men (ST), 3 Women (General), 1 Women (SC) have successfully completed the training and they were awarded with Certificates.

The programme was concluded on 21-07-08 with a Valedictory function.  Sri D.Ramesh, District Public Relations Officer, Srikakulam District delivered Veledictory Address and distributed the course-completed Certificates. 

Feedback was collected from the participants.  Some of the participants have explained their views and expressed their happiness for having undergone the training.
